In order to be a celebrity you do not have to look like one. Greta  Thunberg is probably the most famous person in world, but she does not have the stereotypical celebrity look.

Her recent BBC mini-series, Greta Thunberg – A year to change the world, should be compulsory viewing, in school time, for every schoolchild in the country.

Her profound commitment to the cause of stopping our descent into climate catastrophe and her articulacy in her second language, would be a valuable lesson for all of them.

Between the ages of 16 and 18 she has addressed the EU Parliament, the UN Assembly, the Davos World Economic Forum and numerous rallies in Britain and other countries.

For the many youngsters who are smitten with the image of celebrity as propagated by TV and the social media, it is good to see a clever kid, who is not a plastic Kardashian look-alike, knocking spots off Donald Trump and other politicians, who talk big and do nothing.
