Dear  Sir Bob

If the Bill should come back to the Commons, I hope you will oppose it.

This country, thanks to Margaret thatcher, already has more legislation antagonistic to trade unions than any other country apart from China.

Keir Starmer has pledged to repeal the law should it be enacted, but we know that is just another of his worthless pledges.  He has already demonstrated his stance on the unions. He wants their money but no wish to be associated with them in case it compromises his right-of-centre image with the electorate.

Workers losing the right to strike would take us back two centuries to the Combination Act of 1799.

Yours sincerely

Colin Yardley
