Keir Starmer has well earned his place in the dustbin of history.

On 15th November, the House of Commons had the opportunity to end its weeks of silence on the unfolding tragedy in Israel/Palestine by voting for an immediate ceasefire in the  Gaza war. Instead the motion was defeated by 193 votes to 125.

It was no surprise that the Tories voted solidly in favour of more war, but disappointing  and scandalous that most labour MPs gutlessly obeyed Starmer’s diktat that they should abstain.

So most Labour MPs have nothing to say on this catastrophic war and the vicious criminality of Netanyahu’s military, although by their silence they are pleasing the labour Party’s paymasters, the Israeli Embassy and wealthy Zionists.
